New tools for the medicine of the future
This will be one of the most innovative aspects of CIBEK. In close cooperation with the medical industry, this range of activity intends to promote the development of technologies with a relatively quick use in the field of disease diagnosis and treatment. Of these the most outstanding are the study and development of systems for artificial and bioartificial liver support and other extracorporeal treatment techniques, and cell transplant. Also included here is the development of the computer technology applied to the image diagnosis, tumor diagnosis and diagnosis of other digestive lesions through advanced endoscopic techniques and new surgical procedures (endoluminal surgery and use of non-invasive procedures).
